I don't think anyone knows William B.'s parents. I did find this record that gives the name of his first wife and the date of his second daughter's birth. She was born while they were crossing the Atlantic from England to Baltimore.

Presumably, the first wife died and he married Martha "Patty" Menefee December 16, 1807 Franklin County, Virginia.
