Hello Phil,
I have a few Daniel Sharpe's in my family tree. The first was born Daniel John Sharpe in 1838 in Risby, Suffolk. His father and mother were Abraham Julian Sharpe(born 1797, Great Saxham, Suffolk) and Hannah Maria Gardiner(born in Risby, Suffolk).
His brothers were William Sharpe born 1820 in Risby, and Abram Julian Sharpe(who married Harriet Pearl in 1847) born 1824 in Risby.
The first Abraham's father was Timothy Sharpe (born 1761, Little Saxham, Suffolk, who married either Susannah Lefterhand in 1790 or Susan Long).
Timothy had a brother called Daniel who was christened on 26 April 1772. The records differ as to the place where he was born either Little Saxham or Shotley. This Daniel had 2 uncle Daniel's, One died aged 10 in 1744 the other was christened on 27th December 1745 and was buried 15 June 1792 aged 47.
I've also found a record that states a Daniel Sharpe born in Risby, Suffolk, was a gunner in Royal Navy at the age of 24 in 1861.
The 1891 Census shows that Daniel John sharpe (born 1838) has a wife called Jane (surname not known). they were living in Lackford at the time.
