So far, I haven't found any definitive information regarding the service of Isaac Scherb in the Dragoons of Count Pulaski. However, I'm currently in Raleigh, NC to visit some family for a few days and plan to spend tomorrow in the State Archives and Library. The library has an extensive collection that may shed some light on Isaac Sherb in PA. Also, I haven't found any info on the christening of Isaac Scherb as a child in the Palatinate region of Germany. I know that the Sharps who came on the Queen Elizabeth were from the village of Langenselbold, which is about 30 miles northeast of Frankfurt. I work with someone who is native German and lived in a nearby village during part of her childhood. She is going to help me contact the office or agency that keeps the civil and church records for Langenselbold and other villages that I've identified that ancestors from the Klapp, Kopp, and Albrecht families came from. I am tentatively planning a trip to Germany this fall to visit these villages and see what information that I can unearth and add to the collective efforts of the Sharp(e) researchers.
I'll let you know if I find anything of interest in the archives in Raleigh this week, as well as visiting some of the churches, graveyards, etc. that our ancestors are associated with.
Roger
