I am looking for information on William G Shanks.
He appears on the 1840 US census in Falls Twp, Muskingum Co, Ohio with wife and three children.
He appears on 1850 US census in Muskingum Twp, Muskingum Co, Ohio, age 34, born Va, occupation carpenter. He has five children, ages 16 to 6, the oldest born in Va and the rest in Ohio.
From the descendants of Thomas Dawson I, his wife was Anne Dawson, who apparently died between 1844 and 1850.
If you have additional information on William or his ancestors, I would like to hear from you.
