In reply to your message earlier today: it is great that you have this information , and I hop[e that it can help me to find the links that I need to verify some Indian bloodline. My G-G-Grandfather was Hampton Shankles, He seems to fit into this family group. The same counties and same period, and he is also found in Kaufman Co. Texas with Anderson and Jesse. They are buried in the cemetery in Scurry, but hampton is not. He is most likely buried in Oklahoma, Indian Territory. I do have a picture of Hampton Shankles, and it belonged to my G-grandmother, Johanna Shankles Crump. Iwould be interested in talking further,please contact me at jnrcrump@msn.com
