Hello all:
I have spent the past several days reading through all the old postings on the Shaner family and am curious as to whether somone has a family listing from the Shaner that came from Germany (name not sure - possibly Jacob)who had a son Jacob who had Philip. Specifically the name of the man who came to US, his children, and then who might all be Philips siblings.
I am working to put together the children of Philip/Melinda and all their descendents (or at least from his son John's kids) as I have recently been given some pictures from what I assume to be early 1900's with a sod house in back ground and assumably Flossies (Philip/John/Flossie) siblings and possibly her nieces and nephews. Pictures were most likely taken in Lincoln County, NE as that is where John/Cordelia ended up.
I am Flossie's great granddaughter. I can supply info on her and down. Gets pretty extensive as she married Everett Shiers and they had 12 kids (1 dieing as an infant). Most of the rest showed up at a family reunion this past weekend.
I would love to connect with anyone to help put the pieces together.
