This is how I have William Shaner(b. 15 Jun 1834) who m. Rebecca Gross connected to the rest of the Shaner family:

William’s father was Jacob Shaner(b.1806) who m. Mary Reider on 18 Nov. 1827

Jacob’s father was George Schoener (b. say 1783) who m. Elizabeth (nee Weiss). George is named as the husband of Elizabeth Weiss in her father’s, (Erhard Weiss) will.

George’s father was George Schoener (1748-ca 1805) (s/o Melchior Schoener) m. Elizabeth (nee Hanna?)

Jacob(b. 1772) and Maria(nee Neuman)Schoener’s son Jacob(b.1808) m. Maria Kleisz and resided in Phila. As Janis has said, Jacob (b.1772) is the s/o Andreas and Julianna (nee Reifschneider) Schoener.
