Paula, Do you have the book written by Sandra Clarke Rockey Shamburger? She wrote a book in 1996 about nearly all the Shamburgers from 1678-1920. My husband's grandmother was Lula Inez Shamburger and she married Robert Lafayette Jackson in Lauderdale County, MS. There are alot of Shamburgers buried there. Brothers of Lula's great-grandfather were the ones that left MS for Texas and resided in Smith and Wood Counties. Therefore, your family and my husband's family are connected. Do you know the name of your gggrandparents that came to TX in the 1840's?
