I am a Shamburger from Wilcox county Ala. My GG-Grandfather was William. He settled at Yellow Bluff, Ala 1812-1815..His son Peter was the father of my grandfather William. My grandfather was born in 1857, My father William was born in 1881. I have my Grandfather's diaries from 1886-1916. Reading recently, june 16, 1905: "Took Maggie Helen (his daughter born 1885) to Pine Hill . She is going to Toomsuba, Miss to see some of our kin". June 26, 1905: "got a letter from Janie Shamburger in Cuba, Miss saying Maggie Helen has sprained her arm". That is the only referrence I have to the Shamburgers of Lauderdale County...Could you fill me in...Maybe you know if the early ones were related to William from Moore County N.C....Thanks Frank..
