To answer your question about haw I fit into the Shadix line, I have been told by other researchers that there were 4 Shadix brothers They were Thomas, John, James and William. My line is from James.James Shadix,born about 1768,North Carolina,his son, John William Green Berry Shadix,born 1815,Georgia, his son,John James Shadix, born 1840, Georgia,his son Robert Edward Shadix, born 1867, Georgia.Robert Edward is my Grandfather. Clem Shaix is descended from John. John Shadix, born about 1766, North Carolina, his son, Thomas Shadix born 1816, Georgia, His son, Clem Shadix, born 1859, Alabama.If you can log onto Ancestry.com or Ancestry World Tree Project, you will find other who are working on the Shadix/Shaddix line.
