Hi - I too am descended from the Shackletons of Queenshead. My GGGG Grandfather Halliwell Shackleton baptised his later children in Queenshead General Baptist Chapel, but earlier children Elizabeth 1818 & William 1820(my GGG Grandad) were baptised at the Parish Church of St Peter, Bradford.
Halliwell was born 1784 in the Kirkby Malham/Arnciffe area, and moved to West Yorkshire alongside relative Edward, a fellow weaver, and perhaps others.
I wonder if he followed an earlier generation or two.
I also wonder if there's a connection to the artist William Shackleton b 1872 Bradford, who spent many years in Malham.
Does any of this ring any bells?
Heli
