I believe that they settled in Niagara Co., NY. I believe the name of the town is Lockport. I don't know if Adam and wife came to America (from Germany), but maybe his son Mathias did. I have found an Adam Hufnagel on a census from NY in Niagara Co but do not know yet if this is my Adam. If you have information on these Hufnagels, I'd appreciate your emailing me at jmpdk3@go.com
