Wow! I am from Washington, PA, and there are still lots of Seybert's living in the area now, and when the author Raymond Martin Bell lived there. I will check to see if he interviewed any of them.

I have found Seybert's in California, Oregon, Texas (where some of my grandfather's cousins went and changed the pronunciation of the name from the old German long i to the long e sound). I am very interested in knowing about the West Virgina Seyberts, and was please to notice a connection between Captain Seybert and Fort Seybert in West Virginia and the PA Seybert's. My grandfather's name was Robert Seybert of Washington, PA. Any connection?
