James Seyert info needed

I'm looking for information about James Seybert. His 1840 land patents say he was "of Will County" and, and he bought land in Township 32N, which is the Wesley and Custer area south and a little east of Wilmington. He has 2 land patents from 1840 and 4 from the state of Illinois from 1838 and 1839, I think. He paid taxes in Will County and he paid the marriage license fee for Elizabeth Seybert to marry Daniel Wing in 1853.

Any information would be helpful, but I'd especially like to know his relationship to Elizabeth Wing (father unknown according to marriage license application letter from Wilmington). Since James bought land in 1838, I'm guessing he was 21 yrs old or more at the time and was born before 1817. I'd like to know if he had a wife and children and when he was really born. I can't find him on the 1850 census.
