Jim: I have talked with you before. I am particularily interested in your claim that Bernard, one of Henry I son's was blind. I would like to know how you acquired that info. I have also been in contact with Vic Gearhard who has also posted on Genforum. He seems to think the Bernard I have been looking for, who was my great, great grandfather, may have been Henry I's son Bernard. My Bernard is listed in the 1850 census for Columbia county, Bloom twp as having been married to Effy. This is Effy Long. Vic seems to think that perhaps, my Bernard was Henry I and Margaret Gobel's son and for some reason he moved back to Luzerne county and was raised by either an Elias Long or an Elias Dieterich. Effy Long's father was Joseph Long and his wife was Margaret Dietrick. Both the Long and Dieterich's have Elias' in their line. Any ideas about this?
