correct info abt James C. Sexton ( m. Mary Ann Staten) NOT ADOPTED
Posted by: Ann Davis (ID *****7789) Date: September 26, 2011 at 10:52:14

Altho this information may have been printed and published by the Monroe County Historical Society, Monroe County Indiana Family Hertiage 1987, 1987 Taylor Publishing Co. Dallas, Tx., pg. 214-5.

"John H. and Alice Sexton - - ...Isaac Sexton who married Hannah. Isaac died in Shelby county, Indiana, in August 1848. He and Hannah had a large family, as well as two adopted sons. One adopted son was James C. Sexton, who married Mary Ann Staten, and lived in Indiana with thier large family.

IT IS WRONG INFORMATION.

James C. Sexton was the biological son of William Sexton and "Polly" Cock.

William's parents were Comfort Smith and Benjamin Sexton buried in Kentucky.

Isaac and Hannah may have raised two boys but James C. Sexton is NOT one of those.

Willis Sexton proved this information and was posted to this site.

If you want to inquire more, I will be glad to respond.
