Sexsmith Family Genealogy Forum

Dear Sharon: You are probably right, maybe your father was visiting at the same time we visited, it was such a busy time and I was very young. I remember my Dad talking about a cousin Percy Sexsmith. Did you read my EMail re twins, and also about the Sexsmith being originally English.
My grandparents Richard and Ann, had a farm in Havelock, they raised 5 boys, two other children died shortly after birth. Henry the oldest worked on the CP Railroad from the time he was 15 until he retired. He lived in Smithfalls, and later Brantford. Simon, Randal, George and my dad moved to Niagara Falls with their parents approx. 1925. Simon worked for the Metropoliton Life Ins Co. Randal, CPR, and George owned a tire shop. My dad Tobias Raymond (Ray) sold Prudential LIfe Ins. My grandfather died 1943, Grandmother lived with us after that. she died approx 1953, I'll have to look that up. It is strange, I was always told we were English and Grandma Sexsmith who was High Anglican and belonged to the Eastern Star said that Sexsmith was English, she was a Sexsmith (Sixsmith) before she married, born in Belmont area. We had a trunk stating that she visited Belfast before her wedding. My dad died in 1971, I will have to look up my uncles. I remember them talking about an Aunt Annie, an Aunt Mae. Uncle Simon and Uncle Tobias also I have a old picture of an aunt, I will look it up. I will see what else I can find. I must look up the Anglican Church in Havelock, you might be able to find something there. Sandra
