Sexsmith Surname Project

Has anyone thought of starting a Sexsmith/Sixsmith surname project? It would be ideal, as it would show which Sexsmiths were descended from the same ancestor and we would then be able to sort out which families are actually related.
My 2X great grandmother was Margaret Sexsmith b. 27Nov1823 Queen's Co. (Laois), Ireland. She came to Richmond Twp., Lennox & Addington Co., Upper Canada in 1826, with her parents Thomas Sixsmith and Elizabeth Wall. The family was Church of England.
My ancestor Margaret married Daniel McHenry May 1843. I recently (with another gal from Australia) started a 'McHenry Surname Project', which by which we expect to connect various McHenry families and gain some insight into their place of origin, by a comparison of the Y-chromosome, using a simple self-administered mouth swab.
If anyone is interested in finding out more about how to set up a project I would love to hear from you.
