Someone in Corinna wrote asking for information on Susan Sewall-Burrill, as to where she and her 2nd husband, Samuel Burrill Jr. might be buried. He found that there was a Susan A. Burrill, wife of Samuel Burrill, buried in a cemetery in Rutland, IL and she died in 1877. He was wondering if this is the same Susan that was first married to Wm Sewall and then Samuel Burrill of Corinna, ME.

The Susan we’re referring to, her maiden name appears to have been McPherson before she married the Rev. Wm. Sewall. She was listed in Vassalboro as that is where her husband was preaching at the time of his death. He was buried there by the church conference, but no descendants are left there. Melvin and Justin are buried in Corinna with the Burrills.

No burial site has been located for Samuel Burrill, Jr, nor his wife Susan in Corinna. So they possibly could have moved to IL. That’s what we’re trying to determine.

If you have any information on this I’d sure appreciate if you could share it with me. That's all I have on this family. My mother was a Burrill from the town of Corinna.
