It seems that there were two Se(a)ver(s) men named Jacob, both of whom lived in IN at about the same time. One lived in Posey *County*, Indiana; the other moved from Washington/Scott Co. in sw VA about 1820 to Posey *Township* of Switzerland County, IN.
The Jacob who moved to Switzerland Co. was born about 1773 and married Esther Croberger. This Jacob was buying and selling land in Washington/Scott co, VA (Scott was formed 1814 from Washington Co) and Hawkins & Sullivan, TN (border Scott/Washington, VA) from the early 1800s until 1820.He is found in Scott Co. court records through 1821, including the 1820 Scott Co. census. An 1830 Scott Co. court document refers to Jacob Seaver, deceased.
This Jacob is almost certainly the s/o of Henry (Heinricj) & Elizabeth Seaver and therefore brother of Elizabeth Seaver Lamar.
At the same time that Jacob was in the Washington/Scott, VA & Hawkins/Sullivan, TN, there was a George Seavers who owned land in Sullivan, TN.I have found no reference to Georgein anySullivan records after 1815.
