Asher-Severns connection, 1869
My Great-Grand-Father is John Wayne Asher, b 1869 in MO. In the CA Death Index, his parents are shown as Asher from IL, and Sevearns from IL.I have looked through MO, IL, CA, TX for information on this pair and have been getting skunked for 3 days.
Is it possible that Sevearns is a misspelling of Severns? It may have been spelled as it sounded at that time.
Could someone please investigate this connection for me? This has proven to be a tough one to put together.
