Mary, I do have some information on Nicholas, and will try to get some of it together to send you later.I am sorry that you don't know Charlotte, she also is a descendent of Nicholas Severns. She lives in Maryland, near where his family lived in the early 1800s.Nicholas was born in 1791, in Bucks Co. Pa, the son of Benjamin? Jesse Severns or Jesse Benjamin? Severns. Most records just list him as Jesse (since there were numerous Benjamin's nearby, he must have used that name mostly). The only reason that we believe that he was named Benjamin, is that on the marriage record of he and 'Chrissia' (Or some spelling of the name) Benjamin is first written, then crossed out and Jesse written in.Several tax records referring to "Benjamin" which might be references to him, also.Anyway, several of us researchers have been trying to piece together their history, and have some information that might be helpful to you.I am having trouble with your e-mail though, and it is essential that I be able to contact you that way, as the information is too extensive to post in the forum.I will try again this time to send this e-mail, and will copy it and post it in the forum, also.If you do not get my e-mail, contact juno and find out why it isn't accepting and forwarding your mail, OK?Will wait for an answer from you, Pat
