Dear Julie
Many thanks for your posting. Unfortunately, I don't think I can help you. The earliest I can trace the Severn line back is to John Severn, born approx 1790 and living in or around St Giles, Cripplegate. John Severn was the husband of Patience Messenger and their son was Thomas Messenger Severn. From the dates, there is the possiblty that your Charles (born appox 1806) is a brother of John (1790) but failng that then I think any connection would have to be prior to 1790. But if I come up with anything I will certaily let you know. I'll also pass on your message to recently found cousin of mine who has done the great bulk of the research work. Best wishes. Bill
