Thanks for your response. I have information going back, I need to know what the connection is forward from NH. I am wondering if the Ephraim that was born in NH is related to the Severances that ended up in Belmont Maine, Bangor Maine and eventually Thatcher Severance came to Sebec, Maine. Thatcher died in the Civil War. His wife, Mary Berry Severance, had my great grandmother, Clara Severance Preble.
The only hint I have is that the wife of Ephraim Severance, Ruth, was given a pension from his service in the Revolutionary War and she was from Knox County,Maine. So did he have a son Ephraim? I am missing a couple of generations to make that connection. Any help wil be appreciated. I am trying to get this done for a family reunion this summer.
