I realize that this message is somewhat dated. I only wish I was studying my genealogy several years ago. As it is, I have only done online searches and a walk around a cemetery or two.

Between 2004-2006, I spent several months working in Ipswich, Suffolk. Ipswich does have water close by, but the main port in the area today is Felixstow. If John was a mariner, it would not be difficult for him to get to Ipswich. Ipswich is the county seat of Suffolk with many old churches. After I had read about the connection of the families to Ipswich, my mind began to racing back to the old town.

I actually have a very good friend who live in Ipswich, so if can tell me what records to look for and how to find them, I can see what I can do to gather the records.

Regards,
Dennis
