According to David C. Dewsnap's Genealogy of the Severance Family the
Hannah 4 Severance who married Samuel Moody on 12-3-1755 (DAR Patriot Index) was the daughter of Ebenezer 3 Severance (Ephraim 2, John 1) who was born in Salisbury MA on 11-29 1694 and lived most of his life in Kinston, NH and Ipswich, MA. He married Anna Fitts on 1-8-1716/17. Anna was the daughter of Abraham Fitts and Margaret Choate (NEHGR Vol 22 p71), some of the written accounts of this family indicate that Bebenezer married twice. Anna's maiden name seems to be in question since it has been found as Fitts or Chote. However this appears to be an error in reading the records.
His children: (MAVR-Ipswich)
1. MArgaret ("Margrit" bpt 7-30-1718 (IGI, m. William COleman, int. 12-23-1739
ii. Sarah bpt. 12-21-1719 m. Amos McIntire 10-29-1741 NHVR
iii. Abbe ( Abraham) bpt 1721 m. int Mary Stone 3-22-1745
iv. Ephraim bpt. 11-17-1723 m. Abigail Trask, settled in Washington, NH
v. HANNAH bpt. 10-24-1724 m. Samuel Moody 12-3-1755 (DAR Patriot Index)
vi Matthew bpt. 8-29-1728 d. 1737 age 9 years NHVR
vii Ebenezer bpt. 8-29-1731 MAVR m. Dorothy Eliot 4-6-1757 MAVR.

Knowing you and how you dig out the information this is most likely old news to you by now. But had to give it a shot. Once again our lines cross paths, as my mothers mother was a Severance.

Sara
