Your line runs like this:

1. John Severance founding ancestor b. Ipswich England circa 1609/1615. m. Abigail Kimball of Ipswich in 1635. they arrived in America in 1637. he and his family settled as one of the origional founders of Salisbury, MA.
2. Ephraim Severance b. 4-8-1656 Salisbury m. Lydia Morrill 11-9-1682 Both Ephraim and Lydia signed the Bradbury petition of 1692 (NHSP)HE died OCt 24 1734 and she died Feb 6 1727.
3. Ephraim Severance b. 12-2-1689 Salisbury, MA. (MAVR)m. Mary Burnham 11-25-1714 HE had the adventure of being captured by the Indians and taken to Canada in MAy 1724 but soon released when the ransom was met. He died at Kingston NH 5-31-1759 (NHVR)
4. Benjamin Severance bpt. 9-11-1726 probably born about 1721, lived at Kingston until 1751 when he bought land in Chester NH. He married Ruth Long on 2-12-1744/45
5. Joseph Severance b. Kingston NH 7-21-1746 m. in Chester NH to Anna Currier on 2-12-1771 she wass b. 6-9-1747 and d. 10-20-1813 at Salisbury NH. He served in The Rev, War as a commissioned officer in Col. THomas Stickney's Regt. 13th. NH, Militia ( NHPSP Vol 14) He died 3-16-1813 at Salisbury.
6. David Severance b. 1-30-1775 in Salisbury NH. M. to Mahitable Meloon on 5-17-`803, she d. 10-19-1819 and he remarried to Dolly Palmer 2-17-1821. They settled in Danbury NH (and spelled their name SEVERNS on the 1810-1840 NHFC)
7. Jonathan Thompson Severance was born 7-12 1815 in Grafton NH and later settled in Danbury, NH with his parents. He married Delia Caswell on 4-18-1846 (IGI)
8 George Severance m. Anna M. Bean YOu know about this family.
