Petition to Nepean: Petitioner with his brother Jonathan arrived in Cape Breton in August, 1806, with Mr. Elijah Smith, from New Hampshire, under the promise of receiving lands and other emoluments. Lately another brother, Reuben, has also arrived. It was not in the power of Mr. Smith to fulfil his promises, and he has left the province. Petitioner and his brothers ask land on the southern head of Cow Bay, fronting on Miré Bay, adjoining land on the southern head of Cow Bay, fronting on Miré Bay, adjoining lands allotted to Joel Sheppard. Note: Postponed.
Daniel Severance, Jonathan Severance and Reuben Severance.

This Jonathan must be Daniel Severance's son who was listed as "xI unknown child probably settled in the British Provinces"
