Yvonne,
If Sara is listed as a Setliff/Sitliff on the censuses you mentioned and probably had a daughter named Nancy, she probably wouldn't have been born a Setliff/Sitliff. I have an unaccounted for Joseph Setliff on 1800 Rowan Co NC census with wife and 6 children. The possiblity exists that Joseph could be a brother of my Abraham, son of John Setliff from Buckingham Co VA. I have found no later records of him. If he were Sara's husband, he may have died before the censuses listing her with these other families. Or could she have been born a Vest and married a Setliff/Sitliff, later living with Vest relatives? If I am misunderstanding and she was born a Setliff, she could be our Abraham's sister, being dau. of John Setliff of Buckingham Co VA. The ages are right.
