Colerain, N.C. Sessoms genealogy

I am planning a trip to Colerain, N.C. to do some Sessoms research and was wondering if anyone had any tips for me. Are there any Sessoms or Wynns or Van Pelts still living there that I could contact? I live in Winston-Salem and am planning to drive over possibly next weekend to take some photos and go to the library etc. I will be happy to share info if I come across anything interesting. If there is anyone out there who is familiar with this area, I would love to here from you! Thanks alot,
