General: There was a strong Methodist influence in this family. Several of the
descendants carried the name of Wesley and John Wesley, after the Methodist
The Server family was closely accosiciated with the Rowe Family of
Northumberland Co and later in Logan Co. Ky.
Mr. Smith quoted 'The Server Bible ' as the source for the birth and death dates
for this family.

Birth(1): The location is a' probable' Need primary record to confirm.
Moved(1): Peter Server built on of the early housed in Paris, Ky.
Tax list: Taxes were paid on one white male and two horses.
Tax list: Peter paid taxes on land.He continued to pay taxes in Logan Co. through 1803.
His widow paid taxed on the land in 1804.
General: Peter Server moved with his family from Pennsylvania to Paris, Kentucky, about
1795. He built the fifth house in the village. It is likely that he built
houses in order to support his family. Three Server males who were listed as
Palatines at the Port of Philadelphia in 1722 were identified as carpenters.
He soon moved from Paris to near Russelville, Kentucky, the county seat of
Logan County. He, with his wife and tow of her brothers, Michael and Samuel
Rowe, soon moved from Logan County to the 'Red Banks' - now Henderson, Kentucky,
across the Ohio from Evansville, Indiana. Before 1811, they crossed the Ohio
River into Posey County, Indiana.

WIFE NOTES: Dorothea Appel
Death: At the time of her death, she could have been living wither daughter, Mary Appel
Server Rowe, or with John Server.
General(1): Her name is spelled Dorothy in the LDS Church record from Mr. Kunz. However, her name is spelled different ways in the Logan Co. Ky tax records as a widow of
Peter Server. The Server Bible record seems to be Dorothea, which is the German
spelling. She was probably related to Peter Apple (also Apfel, Appel,Oppel, etc)
who was born in Berks Co. Pa. Taxed in Beaver twp, Northumberland (now
Snyder)Co. Pa in 1789.

County and probably farmed. He performed many marriages as a Justice of the
Peace and was very acative in locl community affairs - church and govenment.
John's name appears ofter in legal records. He was swirb April 5, 1844 for a
