My family is also from Puerto Rico and I believe the name Serrano is in the family from Rio Piedras, Rio Grande or Santurce areas of Puerto Rico. I think my great grabdmother was Otilia Benitez Serrano (b.1890) and her mother was Antonia Serrano(b. 1868). I do not know who her father was but do any of these names sounds familiar?
