i'm new to this forum and i am very interested in starting to find out about my ancestry. i'm particularly interested in my father's side of the family. my parents divorced when i was very young. my father's name is jose antonio serrano: born june 14. his father's name was catalino serrano (deceased). the only serrano family i know of resides in rio piedras, puerto rico, specifically in a town called parcelas canejas. i know for a fact that they moved to rio piedras from somewhere else, but can't remember. it may have been guaynabo or ponce. my grandmother's name is anastacia gonzalez (deceased). my father also has brothers, but some may not be serranos. one i know for sure is pedro serrano. i would really like to follow up on the serrano name. i've always had this inner feeling that my serrano background came from an honorable source. this is was prompted me to start to find out more. can anyone refer me to any websites? any serrano's out there? give me a holla!
