My name is Rafael Serra Colon. I live in Guaynabo PR. My father is Rafael Serra Davila, and his father is Rafael Serra Martinez. This last one was from Ponce. My Serra blood line knowledge is that we come from Ponce and Spain.
You know, the funny thing is that I read about a Rafael Serra Ramirez de Arellano in the list, and my little brother's name is Gustavo Rafael Ramirez de Arellano. His mother is decendent from the Ramirez de Arellano from San German. I don't know if it is related to the other one!
I meet Antonio Serra, from Corozal a couple of years ago, and because I was courious we made a rough research. There was no connection in PR, but I did some further looking and is almost sure that there was a common ancester in Spain. The story is that this Serra had many sons. Both of them moved to PR but niether of them knew the other one was moving to PR, so they never got together.
So the Serras in Ponce spread and so did the ones from Corozal.
Given the fact that Serra is not a common last name, I think that is possible that all Serra might be related in a point of history!
