Heard that one too, I don't know if that is all true, since my understanding of our name is that it means, "the king's hill" from spanish.. maybe searching the spanish language could give us some clue? Anyhow.. I'm now just starting to try to piece together our family tree here in Texas (south Texas to be exact) I hope to have full names and dates of birth (locations, as well) to post on this site in the near future.. maybe we're related??

My grandmother is helping me.. here's what I know so far.. My grandfather's name is not too common, Otilio Serna, born in Saltillo, MX (d. 1917). He had 2 brothers, Alphonso and Carlos, 2 sisters (Nicolasa and Soledad). He settled in Laredo and married my grandmother, Maria Salome Segovia, (b. 1919) who was put on a train to Texas from Mexico.. kinda of exciting :)) I'll post more when I get a letter she is writing to help me out.. ciao!

+pablo
