Greg ~
You are right, I am looking at the FTM WFT 2
Family File #4700(the big file on William of Malden, but very incomplete too) and this also gives only an Elizabeth m. to the Samuel b. 1703 who was son of Joseph and Mary ( Green) Sergeant.
I keep hoping my Thomas b. 1773/74 is some way related to this line.
There are some Green's buried almost right next to my ggg grandfather here in WI. A Green researcher once told me wherever you find Greens buried, Sargent's are not far from them. I didn't believe him until I went to the cemetery the next day to check and here almost right next to my ggg grandfather's tombstone was a Greene plot of Burials! So perhaps there is a connection, but I have not found it yet.
There is also a Elizabeth Greene buried very near where my gggg grandfather Thomas lived and died in NY. She is listed in death records as the daughter of (I think it was)Daniel Greene and she died while a young woman of abt 20. But her married name was Sargent, and I don't know if she was my gggg grandfather's 1st wife or not. He was married (2)to Sarah Sisson Deforest in NY. I can't seem to get any record of her marriage or anything about her at present.
I also have a will of a Joseph Sergeant from
Worchester or Middlesex Co, MA that was married to a Hannah Groat. Is he any relation to The first Joseph?
Because I believe he named his first wife as
Mary(no last name)in his will deceased. I think it was later than this Joseph though.
I'll look it back up later.
Well, let me know if anything helps here, I can send you any files on this CD through private email if you want, but it does not list Elizabeth's name.
Penny
