Penny,
Thx for the response.I did not see any connection between your Srgts and mine. Here is what I have on my Sergeant Line:
SERGEANT, Rev. WILLIAM
Immg.1638 to Charlestown, MA, to Malden, MA in 1649, then to Evert, MA in 1670. Also r. Barnstable, MA.
His wife Sarah, widow of Wm. Minshall.
His son John m. Deborah Hiller r. Barnstable and Malden, MA
His son Joseph m. Mary Green
His son Samuel (1703-1791) m. Elizabeth Unknown, (c1708-1781), r. Stow, MA
Note: His wife Elizabeth is not the Elizabeth Pratt descended from Mayflower Pilgrim Degory Priest. The Malden, MA VR show a marriage of a Samuel Sargeant and Elizabeth Pratt on 2-Dec-1714, way too early considering he was b. 1704 and his wife was b. c1708 and dau. Susanna was b. 1750. This is the only evidence of his being married to a Pratt.
Dau. Susannah (1750-1801) m. Samuel Barnard, who is my g-g-g-g-grandfather.
Maybe there is one more Samuel in there that I don't know about.
What CD do you have with the Wm. Sergeants of Malden on it?
Regards,
Greg
