Robert, You asked about his year of birth. That is October 14, 1897 and died in April 1996. He always joked that he would make it to be 100 years old and let me know if I should try for the same. He had a wonderful joyful sense of humor, twinkle in his eye, lush thick hair all of his life and was just a joy filled person who made everyone around him laugh. He had a great sense of humor all of his life. I have lived a very international life and speak Vietnamese and some Arabic and when I spoke of wanting to travel to Serbia he would always say it was 'too dangerous'. Considering the wars I lived through that was a statement! I really appreciate your communicating with me about this. I feel such a need to know more and wonder about the name on the WW I paper which could be his father's name. He said he had 10 brothers and sisters younger then him. Cher
