Does anyone have any idea on the origin of the surname Pelache or Pelachi? My greatgrandfather was Peter Pelache who came to the US in abt 1895 born 1860/64. There are conflicts in two Census reports for place of birth. One says Montenegro and the other says Austria (Austrian Empire??).
