I have assisted several MUSULIN (sounds like moosooleen)researchers.I have found the name is found in 2 places in Croatia: in the Split area (where they are Roman Catholic)and in Gomerije and Ogulin(west of Karlovac) where they are Orthodox religion.
The name most likley has Turkish origins, from muslin, like the fabric (which is not French but from old Turkey). While it may be of Turkish origins the holders are not of Turkish ethnicity. Many family names came about in Croatia during the Turkish occupation.
What do you mean when you ask "where did most of the MUSLIN's settle during the immigration settlement last century."In the US, S. America, Australia or some other place?
In the 1910 US census 37 MUSLIN are found the largest number are found in Pittsburgh PA
