MYSTERY: Eugenia Sentell b.1892? NC, Henderson or Polk
I'm new at this! I'm trying to find out the names of the
parents of Eugenia Sentell, born apx 1892. She married
John Pinckney Thompson in White Oak Twp, Polk Co, Oct 3
1910. I believe she would have been born in Polk, or
Henderson County, NC.
She died, or vanished, in apx 1919, leaving 3 children;
my mother Myrtle Gertrude Thompson, Luther Thompson,
and Mary Edith Thompson who were eventually placed in an
orphanage in Swannanoa, NC.
My mother died in 1993 never knowing what really happened to her mother. Her last recollection of seeing her mother alive was when she was 4, and she thinks they were living in Gaffney, SC. That may not be correct.
There is an Elizabeth Eugenia Sentell b. July 1870, Crab Creek Twp., Henderson Co. NC, but she was born too early.
I have a photo of Eugenia on a porch of a log cabin, probably taken on Jeter Mountain in Hendersonville, surrounded by family.
I believe Mom referred to one of the men on the porch as Uncle Boney (Napoleon Bonaparte) Sentell.
I would like to solve the mystery of who Eugenia was, and
what really happened to her; no matter where it leads.
Thank you for any help!
Ann Latimer (maiden name)
