Marlene: Sorry to be so late in replying to your message above but for some reason I have not been back to the Sentell screen in a few months. I would appreciate receiving your offer to make a copy of a document of information from your FTM file on the descendents of Samuel and Nancy Stephens Sentell. My address is Mrs. Bobbie Cardin, 13871 Highway 157, Haughton, LA 71037. Have you had any new information lately? As I understand, the Sentell, Stephens and Cardin families were all close neighbors in Spartanburg County S.C...I would also appreciate a list of all of the children of William Sentell and his wife Sarah who were in Pickens County Alabama if you have received it. I say that based on the letter I described in the message above I believe that Sarah was a Cardin by birth, but I always say that I stand to be corrected if I am not correct so any help appreciated. The 1880 Pickens County Alabama census shows Nathan Sentell's household consisted of two or three people in his household with the last name of Wilkins and I was told by a Mr. Smith of Pickens County that his Cardin/Carden family was related to the Wilkins of Pickens County but I just do not know..it is really hard to prove a lot of things in Pickens County due to the courthouse burning when it did. Mr. Smith was a descendent of John Berry Cardin who was a brother of my husband's ancestor who was Vardy Cardin. Mr.Smith has been deceased for a few years. I would appreciate hearing from you or anyone else with information on this family. Now that I am retired perhaps I can do more on my research. Please reply. Bobbie in Louisiana
