Thanks for responding. I just recently did some more work on this & found that census listing. I have now been able to see that Lilly Sentell and Joe Rollins were both in that area at the same time, so it appears that she must have connected with him there and then followed Joe and his wife to Sevier County TN. I found his marriage record and he was married before moving to Tennessee.
I used to think that things were different back then, but since working on my family history I see that people got in just as much trouble then as they do now!!
