Thanks James for answering the question. Last year we had the bodies of Sgt. Samuel Sentell, Sr. and his family removed from the gravesite under the Sentell Baptist Church. The DAR will place a marker next year and we will be able to honor these people properly.
You are considered an expert on the Sentell families who went to Alabama, and we are grateful for any information you can give us. Nobody has done more than you and Debbie Allen to help me, and I really appreciate all you have helped me with. I will work on William's children. I think he was married only once, and he married Sara? I have not been able to find a descendant of William to help me yet, but hope we will have some success with your confirming that he was in Pickens County, Alabama. I have just learned the records of Pickens County are in Tuscaloosa, Alabama Archives. Hope we can get there soon.
