In researching my family, I traced back as far as Frederick Robert Sentance - his son Walter Horace enlisted in the Australian Army in Waratah, New South Wales in Nov 1916 and was killed in France in 1918 (aged 40). The War Memorial record states he was born in Clapham London. His grandson, another Walter, was my mother's father.
I'd love to know bout your research.
