The only information I found on Joseph Senger was from the ahsgr.org/ website (American Historical Society Germans from Russia) which lists a Joseph Senger born June 29, 1854 in Selz, died Nov 1, 1919 in Allan. Go to the Ancestors Lists for "s" in this website.
As Joseph was born after 1852 he would not showup on the 1852 Kutschurgan census list.Selz was one of the villages in the Kutschurgan District, however the 1852 census does not show any Senger's in Selz in 1852.I assume Joseph's ancestors would be in one of the surrounding villges where Senger families are listed namely Kandel, Strassburg and Elsass.
You may want to also try the grhs.com/ website (Germans from Russia Heritage Society). There are Senger researchers listed in the Kutschurgan website who may be able to provide furhter information.I would be happy to send you the Senger family information I have for the Kutschurgan District.Contact me at my home e-mail address [email protected] if you would like this information.
PS:Joseph Height's book "Memories of the Black Sea Germans" lists three Senger families from Reidselz, Elssass, Germany who settled in Strassburg/Kutshurgan District in about 1808.
