Armand,
Hi!I've been in contact with you before, unfortunately my old computer broke and I lost all my message files regarding the Senet family, so I don't remember exactly what information we have exchanged. My husband is a descendant of Nicolas Senet through Joseph, Joseph, Ignatius, Moses Louis, Moses, William Moses, Earl and Nola. His branch moved to Michigan in the late 1700's.I have found through various sources that he was a royal notary and singing teacher and that Joseph was a militia captain. My husband had a few free hours while in Montreal on business and went to the Archives where he was able to get copies of some documents relating to Nicolas. His marriage contract was among them. Unfortunately, we don't speak French and it is very hard to read because you can see the writing from the other side of the document. Since Nicolas was a notary, my husband saw his name on many other documents, but only had time to get copies of a few.I don't know much about descendants other than names, marriages, dates etc.I would like to share information also.We hope to get back to Montreal and do some more research.I would like to find places in Montreal that are associated with the family.Do you know if any of the residences still exist?
