FIRST OF FAMILY OF TEN CHILDREN TO DIE
MRS. MARGARET SENECAL GRAPOTTE PASSES AWAY AT REDWOOD
Mrs. Margaret Grapotte, wife of
John E. Grapotte, died at the family
home In Redwood Saturday night. She
had been ill for some ... past and
her death was not unexpected. Mrs.
Grapotte was the first of a family of
ten children to die. nine brothers and
sisters now surviving her.
Margaret Sencecal vas born in the
town of Alexandria 62 years ago and
was the daugher of Stephen and ..st-ra
Senecal, ...y residents of that
town. She spent her girlhood at the
family home and as a young woman married
John B. Grapotte. She spent the remaining
years of her life in the town of
Alexandria with the exeption of a short time
spent in the the town of Theresa.
She is survived by her husband and six
children. The Children are, Elizabeth, Cora
and William Senecal of Alexandria, Mrs. Patrick
Gullagher and Mrs. M..s of Frankford, N.Y. and
Mrs. George Swan.on of Canton.
Nine brothers and sisters also survive.
They are: Mrs. Matilda Shou.ette, Mrs. Louis
Brusoe, Mrs. Thomas Martin, Mrs. Alexander Me...,
Mrs. Mary ... of Alexandria, Joseph and
Stephen Senecal of Ithica, George P.Senecal of
Watertown and William Senecal of Ottawa, Illinois.
Mrs. Grapotte was a woman of admirable Christian
character beloved in her home and in her home
The Funeral will be attend from St. Francis Xavier
church, Redwood, Tuesday at 10 a.m. and burial will
be made in Redwood cemetery.
