Can anyone please help me, I have been searching for some time now to find David Selway who according to the 1851 Census was born in Ston Easton Sommerset abt 1788 he married Elizabeth they were living in Easton in Gordano in 1851. Appears that the name was also spelt Silway.
1841 Census was David age 53 Elizabeth age 53 and Sara age 13 Reg district of Bedminster Sub St George
Sarah (my gg grandmother)was born about 1828 Somerset England. Parish St George Hundred Portbury County Somerset.
I think from records I have searched trying to find a link to them is Ston Easton is in the area of Ashwick and he could have been connected to the Selways of Ashwick but I cant seem to find a connection.
I would appreciate any help as my resources here from Australia are limited.
