Hi, I am desperately seeking Sarah Selway. I have her linked to parents John Selway and Eliza Maidment. She had an illegitamate son Samuel Selway and never married, we are direct descendants then of Sarah Selway. She apparently got pregnant by the owner or son of the house in which she worked. Does anyone have any information on this family and any of there history so I can make a concrete connection. The parents John and Eliza had to my knowledge 6 children, Mary Elizabeth Maidment, Sarah Ann (to whom we are related), Eliza Adana, John Robert, Ellen, James and Thomas Maidment, all born in Chewton Mendhip Somerset, England apart from James and possibly Thomas who were born in Redhill, Somerset.
I would be extremely grateful for any information on this family
